Our last weekend away before the baby arrives was to the small medieval town of Bouillon, in Southern Belgium, almost touching the French boarder. This premier resort town in the Ardennes is spectacularly located in a loop of the Semois Rover, topped by one of Europe’s most impressive medieval strongholds, the feudal castle of Godfried, with spectacular views of the town below and the region’s wildest scenery in the distance. A visit to the nearby Tomb of the Giants offered more breathtaking scenery over the rolling green hills of the Ardennes. Our campsite located on the serene Semois River filled with fish was a relaxing treat. Some of the pictures can be found here:
