Tongeren, Belgium’s oldest town

The small town of Tongeren in Limburg was established before it was invaded by the Romans in 54 BC. Rich in Roman history and ruins, a stroll through the town on the longest day of the year was a nice outing. On the day of our visit, there was a ‘Braderie’ where plenty of stalls were set up all along the narrow cobble stoned streets. See some pictures at the following location:
