Knights in Horst

At the water castle of Sint-Pieters-Rode in Horst, British knights re-enacted a fight between the Flemish defenders of Leuven verses the French attackers. This was the night’s last show to be performed in Europe due to early retirement. A few thousand spectators turned up for this fight and the small medieval market which contained lots of beer stands and a big roasted ox turned into burgers for the spectators. The show was rather disappointing, geared more towards children than adults. However it was worth the visit and a nice outing.  Below is the link to some of the action shots.
